This is a one size, super chunky, super cozy sweater born out of the idea that you can actually knit a complicated looking cable sweater without taking months to complete it, and also because I much prefer to knit in blocks or chunks that I can easily correct and then assemble, plus try out different cable patterns without committing to starting a particular garment immediately.
You can definitely even try different cable patterns if you closely match their width - and simply try out a few and see if you like them. It’s a mix and match type of garment so until you seam and block it for good, you can always go back and change or adjust.
Obviously this means you can even knit two different colored cable panels, or three! Because you are knitting them separately, you won’t need to do any complicated color changing.
The sweater is designed in one size only - oversized large winter style, but as you will knit you will see that you can very easily adjust its length and width, specially from the back - being a simple construction sweater you don’t need complicated calculations - simply measure yourself, and knit more ore less in the back area and in the ribbing.
