I used 2 skeins of Buttercream Alpaca Solids in Brown to make the scarf in the picture. Any size yarn from DK to Bulky would make a beautiful scarf with this pattern.

Since this pattern is a multiple of 2 plus 1, it is very easy to size this infinity scarf to the perfect size.
