This is a % CLASSIC C R O C H E T pattern, not tunisian, and definitively not knitting.

♡ This beanie feels and looks like a knitted one, but it’s 100% classic crochet.
♥ The leafy pattern is gorgeous and it will be a head turn.
♡ ASPEN LEAVES beanie has only one sewing line at the back of the head and it’s slightly cropped. The stitchery of this beanie repeats in 2 alternative slices, without cutting the yarn. The first slice is the foundation for the second one and the second slice is the foundation for the next first one. Being worked sideways you’ll stop the repetitions whenever you achieve the desired circumference.
♡ Because this beanie is very stretchy it fits for more head circumferences and it’s a great gift in the chilly season for any girl, teen or adult.
♥ This design is suitable for variegated yarns with slow transitions from one color to the next one. Examples: UNFORGETTABLE by RedHeart, VALS by Nako, AMBIANCE by YarnArt, CARNIVAL by Hobbii, RIOT by King Cole, PRISM by MaryMaxim etc.

My example variegated beanie is made using SUNNY RAINBOW STRICKGARN YARN by Tedi (EU chain stores for hobby and home deco). The exact same color is PRISM by MaryMaxim shade MACAW.

ONE SIZE:
• TEENS & ADULT: 25 cm (10 inches) long, adjustable circumference)

SKILL LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE Basic skills of crocheting are needed

STITCHES YOU NEED TO KNOW: BLSLST (back loop slip stitch) and BLHDSL (back loop half double slip stitch/brioche stitch/yarn over slip stitch)

MATERIALS:
• Any DK yarn, weight 3, approx. 245 m (268 yards)
• Hook – 4.5 mm or any other size to achieve the gauge
• Scissors

By using MEDIUM yarn (weight 4) you’ll obtain a longer beanie (approx. 28 cm/11 inch)
