I used a DK weighted cotton yarn. I have used Worsted Weight yarn for this hat as well, but it does have to be a softer yarn for it to lay as a slouchy hat and not stand straight up.

This pattern is done in a multiple of 2 plus 1, which makes it very easy to size for every head size.
