This cowl is the beginner version of the Romney Ridge Cowl. It uses one color instead of two and uses a cast-on edge and finishes with a bound-off edge rather than the provisional cast on and kitchener grafting that are used in the Romney Ridge Cowl pattern.

The open stitches utilize basic lacework stitches, making this a perfect first lace project for beginners.
