DESIGN DETAILS
The Astrea Dress is a made-to-measure pattern. It features a split hem, cowl neck and a low U-back design. The shoulder straps double up as the corset back ties. There are 2 main styles for the corset back - an open back design with criss-crossing thin straps; and a thicker ribbon tie to hide the bra band. Dress length is customizable.

There are 2 main textures - an open lace-like stitch and a solid shell stitch for modest coverage. The solid shell stitch will be used mainly around the panty and bust area to conceal undergarments. The lace-like stitch has 2 parts and is used for most parts of the dress. An inner slip is not necessary for this dress but nude colored undergarments are recommended.

CONSTRUCTION
The dress is worked from the bottom up, beginning with the skirt edge. The skirt is worked in rows to make the split hem, then in rounds to the U-back. Thereafter, the rest of the dress is worked in rows up to the cowl neckline. The unique stitch pattern lends a interesting texture to the dress and some stretch so the fabric molds to your curves.

SIZE GUIDE
Made to measure. I used ~560g (1,530m/1,680yds) of Sport (#2) yarn for my dress. I’m a size S, 158m tall and my dress length fell just below the knee.

The pattern comes with a lookbook featuring my testers with information about their dress measurements, hook and yarn used.

SUGGESTED MATERIALS
Designed for Sport (#2) or DK (#3) weight yarn with corresponding hook size.
