Astrid Shawl pattern comes in two shapes: a triangle (for a shawl in any size you wish) and a rectangle, which will be perfect for a scarf, a cowl, or a blanket.

Astrid Shawl has an effective texture which uses only basic crochet stitches (single crochet worked in back loops only). The shawl and cowl are worked in rows back and forth, and then a slim border is added around the finished piece.

The pattern is available in English (US terms) and Dutch languages.

The pattern for a shawl comes in three sizes, and you can also crochet a mini version using a triangular shape with measurements of 10 x 100cm/4 x 39½”.

Materials for a shawl:
Scheepjes Stone Washed (78% Cotton, 22% Acrylic; 50g/130m)
802 Smokey Quartz x 6 (7, 8) balls
3.5mm crochet hook
Yarn needle to weave in tails
Blocking tools

Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows over sc blo to measure 10x10cm/4x4”, after slight blocking

Measurements:
180 (210, 240) cm/70¾, (82¾, 94½)” in length
30 (35, 40) cm/11 ¾ (13 ¾, 15 ¾)” in width

Materials for a cowl:
Scheepjes Metropolis (75% Extra Fine Merino Wool, 25% Nylon; 50g/200m)
066 Copenhagen x 3 balls (2 strands held together)
4mm crochet hook

Gauge: 25 sts and 18 rows to measure 10x10cm/4x4”, after slight blocking

Measurements:
23cm/9” for height x 70cm/27½” for circumference
