Astrid's Arcadia scarf
I can never have enough scarves it seems. And when Scheepjes launched Arcadia last year, I was eager to try it out into yet another scarf… I admit I was not a fan of variegated yarn since I feel it doesn’t work well for some of my patterns which are usually full of drawings and detail, but using the variegated purple as a background colour, contrasting with white to make simple flowers, gave me a very nice outcome.
This scarf is done in Interlocking crochet, and the pattern comes with instructions on the technique itself, plus photo tutorials on how to get started. I used around 430g in total, half purple and half white. The width is 37 cm and my finished length is 160cm but the pattern tells you about making it shorter or longer, as you wish.
If you are new to the technique, you can find my tutorials with a free downloadable pattern to follow here: Astrid’s Interlocking crochet YouTube channel
