Astrid's Rosebud Shawl
This crescent shaped shawl is knitted in one piece from the centre top down and has a knitted on border. The main body of the shawl uses a rosebud mesh, while there are more bunches of roses on the outer edge and a string of roses in the border lace. Astrid ‘helped’ a lot, so this shawl is named for her.
Requirements:
Circular needles - 2.75mm, 3.00mm, 3.25mm
100g of lace weight yarn. 1 skein of Circus Tonic Handmade Hoshuku Lace 80% extra Fine Merino, 20% Silk (600 metres/100g) in Grey Whistler used here with about 10g left over.
Stitch markers
The blocked shawl measures around 50cm down the centre back and around 80cm from centre top to wing tip (straight line).
