Astrid's TG blanket
This blanket was made with 100 pct cotton (50grs = approx 130mts), I used a 3mm hook (initial chains with 3,5mm hook to avoid a tighter base, unless your chains are quite loose) and the finished blanket weighs 2,5kgs and measures 190cm x 135cm. I used two colours (grey for A and off-white for B), each colour representing about half the yarn used (colour A slightly more than colour B).
The pattern is over 75.000 stitches, each written down since there are no repeats. It is very structured and easy to follow using a ruler or a highlighter.
You can use any yarn and hook you want, just be aware that the size will change accordingly.
The design is based on the work of Joaquin Torres Garcia (1874 – 1949), a Uruguayan artist painter, sculptor, muralist, novelist, teacher and theorist.
