Astronaut & Rocket Playset
This pattern is 15 pages long and contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in American crochet terms.
You will need:
Yarn of your choice - yarn weight doesn’t really matter, the size of your astronaut will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK Yarn and my finished astronaut measures 10cm tall. You will need the following colours: white, grey, green, yellow, blue and red.
A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.
Toy stuffing for the astronaut, the alien and the flames on the rocket.
Finer yarn or embroidery thread in grey, blue & red for embroidering the details.
A pair of safety eyes for the alien - I used a pair of 12mm green cat eyes.
Some cardboard to go inside the base and fins of the rocket - I used a cereal box.
If you would like to be able to attach the body of the rocket to its base, you will need 3 buttons ( you can easily adjust the size of the buttonholes to suit most sizes). This step is optional.
Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors, pins and a stitch marker.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
