Asymmetrical Art Scarf
Universal yarn markets two beautifully textured yarn called Bamboo Bloom and Bamboo Bloom Handpaints. King Cole markets a similar yarn called Bamboozle. Both are thick to thin yarns in lovely colors and silky softness. The changing textures and colors make it possible to create a one-of-a-kind stunning scarf.
This is my fourth published pattern using this yarn but this time it is paired with a worsted weight coordinating yarn. If you have other thick and thin or art yarn, they can be used instead of this yarn. This scarf is asymmetrical and is a lovely fashion statement.
The pattern is perfect for all levels of knitters. The yarn makes it deceptively easy for a beginner to knit a stunningly beautiful scarf. The yarn changes constantly so the intermediate and advanced knitters will enjoy watching the fabric change with each stitch.
Materials:
U.S. Size 19 24 or 36-inch circular needle and 1 stitch marker
1 skein of Universal Bamboo Bloom or Bamboo Bloom Handpaints or
King Cole Bamboozle
120 yards of coordinating worsted weight yarn.
Gauge and Measurements:
Because the yarn is thick to thin it is difficult to measure gauge.
Approximately 8 stitches to 8 rows = 4 x 4 inches
