You’ll receive 2 patterns with this purchase: Asymmetrical in Symmetry 1 and Asymmetrical in Symmetry 2. They are basically the same pattern visually, but subtly different in how they are worked up to accommodate certain factors.

Asymmetrical in Symmetry 1 is written for one color and includes 2 separate sets of instructions, giving you 3 sizes to choose from. For this shawl, you will need approximately 400 to 850 yards.

Asymmetrical in Symmetry 2 is written for two colors and gives you 2 sizes to choose from.

Small – MC approximately 240 yds/CC approximately 190 yds
Large – MC approximately 420 yds/CC approximately 340 yds

Yardages are estimates based on 20 sts/44 rows = 4” gauge unblocked, but always give yourself plenty of wiggle room to be safe.

This shawl does not require blocking, but pin blocking will definitely open up the lacework more and allow you to shape your shawl exactly how you want it.
