Interpretations is the first design collaboration between Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki; a magical collection featuring 12 patterns.
Reflected lines and perspective take the center stage in this asymmetrical shawl. Short rows, garter stitch and stripes… a well known combination for an enjoyable knit.
Sizes
Finished measurements: 80” 200 cm from side to side and 26” 65 cm from top to bottom at deepest point.
Materials
Yarn: You will need 2 colors of fingering weight yarn.
Main Color (MC): 1 skein of BFL Sock by The Uncommon Thread (100% wool; 437 yards 399m per 100g skein. Shown in colorway Golden Praline.
Contrasting Color (CC): 1 skein of Posh Fingering by The Uncommon Thread (70% wool-20% silk-10% cashmere; 440 yards 402 m per 100g skein. Shown in colorway Brassica. Note: the whole skein of CC is needed!
Needles: US 2½ 3mm circular or straight needles.
Gauge
20 stitches and 30 rows to 4 inches 10 cm in garter stitch, after blocking (really stretching the fabric). Note: Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirement.
