I designed this cable blanket to be “Modern” enough to go with an urban Tokyo’s apartment. The clean strong cables and contrasting borders successfully created the look.

The blanket was carefully designed to have smooth transitions between the borders and cable section (There are increasing sts after the border and decreasing sts before the ending border).

You have a choice of striped border or solid bolder. If you change to both solid borders with contrasting color , you need more yardage of contrasting color. --- see YARN section below.
All one solid color also will make a beautiful blanket.

YARN
The photo’s blanket is knitted with Juniper Moon “Bud” (100% organic cotton).
Total 1200 yards.
Natural x 10 skeins, Red x 1 skein.
If you make both borders with solid color, you need total 140 yards.
Any Bulky weight yarn (gauge 13 sts / 4”) works.

NEEDLES
Needle size will vary depending on your yarn choice.
You need 32” or longer circular needles.

Suggested needle size
Cotton - US #9~10, Wool US #10~10.5

Finished size is approx. 37” x 60”.
