If it’s going to be one of those days, this may be the sock to wear. At the Circus is worked in a Russian lace pattern which can be worked in multiple colors, great for using up leftover yarn. Sock is constructed toe up and has short- row heel with mini- gusset.

SIZING: Sock has minimum stretch. Sizes Small and Medium are knit with US size 0 (2 mm) needles and Large with US size 1(2.25 mm). Yarn with intrinsic elasticity is recommended.

S: 60 total stitches to fit 8 “ (20 cm) at ball of foot
M: 70 total stitches to fit 8.75” (22 cm) at ball of foot
L: 70 total stitches to fit 9.75” (25 cm) at ball of foot

GAUGE: stockinette in round
Small and Medium: 9.5 sts, 13.0 rows per inch (37 sts, 51 rows per 10 cm);
Large: 8.5 sts, 12.5 rows per inch (34 sts, 49 rows per 10 cm)

MATERIALS:
Yarn: ~ 400-600 yds (366-549 m) fingering weight sock yarn. Sample made with: Large Spun Right Round; fingering weight 400 yds (366 m)/100 g; 80% SW merino, 20% nylon; color Melted: Medium, Julie Spins, 400 yds (366 m), 80% SW merino, 20% nylon; color Phylox Confetti.
Optional CC: ~ 4 yds (3.7 m) for each 4 Rnds of CC.

Needles: One or two 24-inch circular needle(s) Small and Medium: size US 0, 2.0 mm; Large: US 1, 2.25 mm. Optional larger needle for extra leg ease.

Other: Darning Needle, 3 closed stitch markers.
