THIS IS A KNITTING PATTERN WORKED ALMOST SEAMLESSLY FROM THE TOP DOWN. INTENDED TO BE WORN WITH ZERO EASE AT THE BUST AND 1” (2.5CM) EASE AT THE TOP OF THE HIP. MADE IN LINEN FOR WARMER CLIMATES, BUT CAN BE WORKED IN ANY FINGERING WEIGHT YARN. A PIECE YOU CAN EASILY LAYER. IT FEATURES A FOLDED NECK, INTARSIA, CABLES AND AN I-CORD BIND OFF. THE NAME OF THIS DESIGN COMES FROM THE GREEK GODDESS ATENEA (ATHENA IN ENGLISH), WHO WAS CONSIDERED AMONG OTHER THINGS A PEACEMAKER. Notions: safety pin or removable stitch markers, darning needle, cable needle, crochet hook for provisional CO.

This design features: provisional crochet cast on, joining a top down folded collar with cast off stitches for armholes, intarsia, stripes carrying yarn up, mattress stitch (this design has minimal sewing), cables & texture, I-cord bind off.
The first part of the garment is knitted flat and separately front & back (refer to the schematic), then you sew the sides and resume knitting in the round. I rather knit intarsia flat. If you prefer to knit intarsia in the round, you could modify the pattern and no seaming will be needed.

Este diseño presenta: montaje provisional con crochet, unir un cuello doblado cerrando puntos para los orificios de los brazos tejiendo de arriba-abajo, intarsia, rayas llevando el hilado hacia arriba, costura (este diseño tiene costura mínima ), cables (trenzas) & textura, cierre de I-cord.
La primera parte de esta prenda se teje en plano (frente y espalda) (vea el esquema), después se cosen los lados y se sigue tejiendo en redondo. Yo prefiero tejer la intarsia en plano. Si prefieres la intarsia en redondo, puedes modificar el patrón, y no necesitará costura.
