Athena, the Goddess of War and Wisdom, was brilliant. Many use an owl as her symbol meaning wise, but to me the Goddess of War would have used her wisdom to unify people for her cause. This pattern has lace that show people spreading apart, and cable that brings them together and lace that points them back toward home as all great warriors conquer and then use their wisdom to unify the people.
