Athens Cardigan Vneck
The Cardigan is knitted flat top down following the chart during shaping the shoulders. The upper back is worked to the underarms and placed on hold. The stitches for the shoulders are picked up along the cast on edge then decorated with the Lateral braid. Stitches for the right front are worked to underarm then placed on hold while the left front is worked. Underarm onwards, the left and right fronts are joined to the back and worked in one piece to the hem. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole. In order not to work purl stitches, work knit stitches with the wrong side facing. Finally, stitches for the button bands are picked up along the opening of the cardigan and worked in 1x1 rib stitch.
The bobble stitch can be made at the same time as you knit the cardigan, or you can only knit bobble stitches separately and attach them after you finish the cardigan.
