The Atkinson cowls have two themes—a simple common strand connecting two marls—and the wonderful complexity possible with a four-strand marl.

If you have a collection of very fine yarns, this is a wonderful way to use them. These samples are worked with four strands of 2/28 NM cashmere from Colourmart so they are soft and luxurious.

The working yardage of each cowl is 240 yards. You can adapt the concept to a range of other yarns and different numbers of strands.
