I have designed each mermaid in a unique pose, with their own unique details. When creating them, I wanted to have a collection that could be displayed beautifully on a shelf or dresser.

For the Atlantic Mermaid; I designed her in a sitting position, with her knees pulled up to her chest. She has a large, flowing fanned tail fin and fluttery hip fins. She is wearing a delicate shell top & has straight multi-toned hair.

The pattern is classified as Advanced Beginner - Intermediate Level. She is constructed in one main piece from the top of her head to the tip of her tail. Arms are crocheted on after the body is completed. There is minimal sewing (fins & hair).

Jeweler’s Wire is used in her arms to make them pose-able and Poly-Pellets are used to weigh her down so she sits without tipping.

She measures approx. 11” These measurements are when Medium Weight Yarn (4) and a 3.5 mm hook are used. Any weight yarn and correlating hook size could be substituted, please note the shell top uses a smaller weight yarn than the rest of the mermaid.

● Tapestry Needle
● Stitch Marker

● Nylon Stocking to put pellets in
● Hot Glue, optional for attaching shell top & embellishments
● 16 gauge jeweler’s wire & a tool for cutting wire
● 8mm pearl bead & two 5mm pearl beads
● White sewing thread and needle for attaching pearls
