A delightful arrangement of diamond lace and beads makes this a practical headscarf. It is knitted from the top down with beads that are applied with a bead hook (Optional: Pre-thread your beads, if preferred).
Construction info
This diamond lace, beaded, triangular Headscarf is knitted from the top down, gradually growing in size. Follow the Diamond lace chart and apply beads where indicated. Finally, the whole piece is finished with a pretty Bobble-Picot bind off technique.
Finished size
32.25” (82cm) wide by 15.75” (40 cm) long, after blocking.
Yarn & quantity
Yarnadelic Sport by John Arbon (Sport/Heavy 4ply weight), 100% Falklands Corriedale, 364 yds (333 m), per 100g skein. Quantity: 236 yds (216 m).
Notions
84 size 6 (5mm) beads (approx. 10g in weight) or larger beads, if preferred.
Tools
3.5 mm (US 4) (or size required to get gauge) circular needles; 4 Stitch markers; 0.75mm Bead hook (or size that adequately fits your bead and yarn); Tapestry needle & Measuring tape; Blocking equipment (pins, or wires and mat).
Gauge
26 sts by 34 rows = 4” (10 cm) in diamond lace pattern. Blocked.
