“This design draws inspiration from both the new and old. I was intrigued by the modernity and drape of an oversized dolman tee, and I also loved the soft femininity of the simple, delicate prints of liberty cotton and vintage summer dresses. This pullover combines the two into the best of both worlds: a gentle, fern-like, allover cable motif joins with a loose and wonderfully drapey shape to create the perfect spring or summer sweater.” – Bristol Ivy
CONSTRUCTION
- Garment is worked in the round from hem (cast-on edge) to underarm.
- Once you have reached the location for underarms, garment will be worked back-and-forth (flat) in two separate pieces (Front and Back). The Front is divided into two parts for neck shaping.
- After completion of Front and Back pieces, shoulders are joined using the Joinery Bind Off.
- The ribbed sleeve trim is picked up from the armholes and worked circularly.
