Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
This square shawl consists of a center square worked back and forth in a mosaic flower pattern and a wavy lace border which is knitted on in the end.
The size and style works equally as well for a baby blanket if worked in a smoother, washable yarn.
If substituting yarn, be sure to swatch - the shawl will be very thick if worked in a more “worsted type” yarn than the Alpaca Cotton, which is very light and lofty.
Yardage needed: 160 meters/175 yards (2 skeins) of 400 Rice (color A) and 358 meters/391 yards (3 skeins) of 406 Thunder (color B). You will also need a few yards of smooth waste yarn for the provisional cast on.
