In the last ten years, there has been a resurgence of interest in vinyl records. Our Audiophile DK is a poncho designed in homage to a classic twelve‐inch LP. Knits and purls form ridges and grooves that mimic the spacing and look of a vinyl record, and the swirl shaping is reminiscent of a spinning disc. Worked the round in simple stitches with graphic punch, Audiophile DK is a cheeky, quick knit sure to spin you right round.

Versions: Audiophile DK is designed for DK‐weight yarn. A companion pattern, Audiophile, is designed for fingering-weight yarn.

Construction: Worked seamlessly in one piece from the top down.

Sizing: Three sizes, with a circumference at the bust of 40(50, 60) inches. All sizes are 12 inches deep.

Yarn and Yardage: 2(2, 3) skeins of Why Knot Fibers’ Starlit, a slightly sparkly merino blend, the in the Right Round colorway (exclusive to Spun in Ann Arbor, Michigan).

Needles: A size 6 U.S. (3.5 mm) 24” long circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: Eight stitch markers, preferably one of which is distinct (for the start of the round), and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Instructions: The pattern includes both charted and fully written-out instructions.

Techniques Used: Basic lace knitting, working in the round.
