An acorn is small but it contains the potential of an entire tree. In the coldest part of the year, when it feels like nothing is growing, little seeds like Auggie are packed with life and waiting to blossom. Auggie is based on the acorn of the red oak, Quercus rubra.

This example was made with Red Heart yarn size 4 in 2 shades of brown (body) and Caron Simply Soft in orange and blue (scarf), and measures 7 in (18 cm) tall by 5.5 in (14 cm) wide.
