August Scarf
August Scarf
Difficulty: Easy - Intermediate
Yarn: Worsted weight
Hook: L (8.0 mm)
Size: 18” circumference x 8” tall
Though we’re in the throes of a warm summer right now, a cool fall and chilly winter are right around the corner. Take an hour to whip up the August Scarf crochet pattern so you’ll be prepared when the weather turns.
This scarf is worked first in rows from the top down, with skipped stitches to form buttonholes. Then, you’ll crochet the sides of the scarf together and start working in a pointed round. Don’t worry; the reference photos make this a cinch! The crochet pattern continues with a light but warm repeated pattern using chains, single crochet, and double crochet.
This elegant cowl-like scarf adds a touch of elegance to a nice fall outfit. Fold the collar down for everyday wear, or flip it up to keep the wind off your neck as you dash for your car in the cold!
This crochet pattern is part of the 2016 Sunshine Charlotte Scarf CAL. To see the other patterns in this crochet-along and to purchase the set, look here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/sunshine-charlott...
