Auguste Slipover
Knitting Pattern for a modern cable pattern sweater in sizes XS/S | M/L | XL/XXL
Structure:
The slipover is knitted top down in one piece. At first, the upper back part is knitted back and forth in rows and the armholes are formed with increases. As soon as you have reached the desired number of stitches for your individual size, you start with the front part with picking up stitches for the left and right shoulder from the back part. After forming the round neck and making the increases for the armholes on the front part, you are going close your work to the round and continue knitting in rounds until you have reached your desired length. When casting on new stitches under the armpits, you have the option to cast on more stitches if you prefer more positive ease.
In the end, you are going to attach ribbed hems to the collar and the armholes.
The fit of the slipover is loose and slightly oversized, the armholes are deep and the round neck is high. The short length creates a modern look, which is contrasting with the classic cable pattern.
