The Augustin cardigan has a bottom-up construction, with a nice American moss stitch on the body.
The sleeves are knitted in the round in stockinette stitch, and are then attached to the body to knit the raglan decreases that will shape the neckline. 
It features a shawl collar that is knitted with the button plackets for a nice finish.

Sizes : 3, (6, 12, 18 months) 2, 4, 6, 8 years

Gauge : 26 st x 36 rows = 4’’ in stockinette stitch in the round, and american moss stitch worked flat.

Yarn & material :

• around 315, (350, 400, 450) 550, 650, 750, 850 meters of Sport weight yarn (recommended weight yarn for the best result)
• 3,5mm/US 4 circular needles or another size depending on your gauge
• 3.25mm/ US 3 circular needles for ribbing or another size depending on your gauge
• 8 stitch markers + 2 locking stitch markers
• scrap yarn
• tapestry needle
• 5 buttons 12 to 14 mm

Techniques : Knitting in the round for the sleeves, american moss stitch, ribbing, short rows, buttonholes, grafting.

Le gilet Augustin est un gilet qui se tricote du bas vers le haut, et dont le corps possède un joli point de blé.
Les manches sont tricotées en rond en point jersey, puis rattachées au corps afin de tricoter des diminutions raglan pour former l’encolure. Un col châle est ensuite tricoté avec les pattes de boutonnage pour une belle finition.

Tailles : 3, (6, 12, 18 mois) 2, 4, 6, 8 ans

Echantillon : 26 mailles x 36 rangs = 10 cm en point de blé à plat, et en jersey en rond.

Laines et Matériel :

• Aiguilles circulaires 3,5mm (ou autre taille dépendant de votre échantillon).
• Aiguilles circulaires 3.25mm pour les côtes (ou autre taille dépendant de votre échantillon)
• 8 marqueurs fermés et 2 marqueurs ouverts
• Morceaux de laine pour mettre les mailles en attente
• Une aiguille à laine
• 5 boutons de 12 ou 14mm.

Techniques : Tricot en rond pour les manches, côtes 1/1, point de blé, rangs raccourcis, boutonnières, grafting.
