Your bust circumference: Ca. 80 (90) 100 (110) 120 (130) 140 (150) cm.
Positive ease: This tunic has a positive ease at approximately 5-10 cm, depending on your bust circumference. When deciding which size to knit, choose the one which corresponds to your own actual bust circumference, and choose the smaller size if in between sizes.
Full length, measured CF below the neckline: Ca. 73 (74) 75 (76) 77 (78) 79 (80) cm.
Gauge: 11 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch at needle size 9 mm.
Needle size: 2 different needles sizes are used, to knit the tunic.
Circular needle 9 mm (the lengths 40, 60 og 100 cm are recommended).
Circular needle 8 mm (the lengths 40 og 60, 80 are recommended).
Yarn: The dress is knitted with 3 threads held together.
1st thread: “Samay”, Smuksak (130 m per 50 g)
2nd + 3rd thread: “Silk Mohair”, Lana Gatto (212 m per 25 g).
Yarn amount: 1st thread: 250 (250) 300 (350) 400 (450) 500 (500)g.
2nd + 3rd thread: 150 (150) 175 (200) 225 (250) 275 (275)g in total.
Other: 10 mm elastic band for the waist of the tunic (length: your waist circumference -5 cm).
Method: The tunic is knitted top-down in the round in Stockinette Stitch, an has finishing i-cord edges. The skirt of the tunic is knitted longer in the back, using the technique “German Short Rows”. The sleeves are puffy and in full length. To make the tunic more fitted and draped, a thin elastic band is inserted into the bind off row of the waist from the WS.
