This is a fully reversible shawl. It measures approximately 21” by 73” after blocking, excluding fringe. Turkish Stitch is from page 185 of Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns. You can substitute any 1- or 3-row lace pattern to achieve a reversible effect. I called this shawl “Auntie Mame” after two delightful characters in the movie, Nora and Ito, and because it makes a rather dramatic shawl. I imagine throwing the shawl over my shoulder as I gracefully climb that spiral staircase….
