Pattern Description

This striking design is knit in one piece in the round after picking up around the edges of our favorite dishcloth. About 36 inches square in DK weight, 40 inches square in worsted weight.

Yarn Requirements
Size: approximately 36” square in dk weight yarn
Materials for DK weight yarn: 1100 yards D weight yarn, US 5 circular needles in 16, 24, 29, and 36 inches; 8 markers, preferably 7 of one color and 1 of another color
Gauge for DK weight yarn 20 st/4 inches.

Size: approximately 40” square in worsted weight yarn
Materials, Worsted weight: 1250 yds. worsted weight yarn
16”, 24”, 29” and 36” circular needles size 8 (or size needed to obtain gauge); 8 markers, preferably 7 of one color and 1 of another color
Gauge: Worsted weight: 18 sts., 26 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch
