Aurora socks was originally a KAL organized in Facebook. It’s a pattern for knee-high colorwork socks I made for myself, and then decided to share the pattern, so I made it into a KAL.
Therefore please note that the pattern is shaped to fit my calves, and it might not be the best fit for everyone.
Estimated best fit for calves with circumference of 34-37cm (mine are 36cm) and for ankles with circumference of 20-22cm (mine are 20cm).
I recommend dk or worsted weight yarns (about 200m/100g) and any needles you need to obtain gauge.

Yarn amount needed:
My socks weight about 200 grams (size 39 EU).
Roughly estimated yarn consumption:
-About 150g of background color (dark grey)
-About 50g of first contrast color (white)
-About 25g of second contrast color (red)

Aurora sukat neulottiin alunperin yhteisneulontana Facebookissa. Nämä polvimittaiset kirjoneulesukat neuloin alunperin vain itselleni, mutta päätin sitten jakaa ohjeen muillekin ja järjestin yhteisneulonnan.
Siispä kannattaa ottaa huomioon että sukat on muotoiltu omaan pohkeeseeni sopivaksi, eikä se välttämättä ole sopivan kokoinen kaikille.
Arvioitu sopiva pohkeen koko noin 34-37cm (omani ovat 36cm) ja sopivin nilkan ympärys noin 20-22cm (omani ovat 20cm).
Suosittelen suunnilleen seiskaveikan vahvuista lankaa, ja puikot sen mukaan että saat suunnilleen ohjeen mukaista tiheyttä.

Arvio langan menekistä:
Omat sukkani painavat noin 200g (koko 39).
Karkeasti arvioitu langanmenekki:
-Noin 150g taustaväriä (tumma harmaa)
-Noin 50g pääasiallista kuvioväriä (valkoinen)
-Noin 25g toista kuvioväriä (punainen)
