The Aurora Sweater is a simple, top down, raglan sweater with beautiful eyelet details at the raglan increases. Designed to be quite fitted with 1-5” (2-12cm) positive ease, however, if you wish to have a roomier sweater, you can apply up to 10-12” (25-30cm) of positive ease.

The sizes given are finished bust size (measured at the widest point) so just apply your chosen ease to your bust measurement and then choose the nearest size.

Sizes: XXS, XS, S (M, L, XL) 2XL, 3XL, 4XL

Bust(inches): 28, 32, 36 (40, 44, 48) 52, 56, 60

Bust(cm): 71, 81, 91 (101, 112, 122) 132, 142, 152

Recommended Ease: 1-5”

Yarn Requirements: One strand of fingering weight yarn held double with one strand of Suri Alpaca Silk or Silk Mohair lace weight. This can be substituted for DK or Worsted weight, or two strands of fingering weight yarn as long as the correct gauge can be achieved.

Yarn Used as Shown in Main Picture: Tiny Teal Handcrafted Single Ply Merino (366m per 100g) held double with one strand of Tiny Teal Handcrafted Baby Suri Alpaca Silk (300m per 50g) held double throughout.

The estimated meterage is calculated as the pattern is written. You can easily change the length of the body or sleeves to suit your personal style, however, please be aware that this may increase the amount of yarn needed.

Meterage / Yardage Required:

620, 670, 720 (790, 860, 930) 1000, 1100, 1200 meters

680, 740, 790 (870, 950, 1020) 1100, 1210, 1320 yards

Please note if using fingering weight held together with alpaca or mohair, or held double, the required meterage is per strand.
