Aurora the Unicorn
At the end of a rainbow you will find a magical colourful unicorn.
Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the unicorn is knitted on single pointed needles (not in the round). Aurora is worked in acrylic DK yarns (double knitting/light worsted). You only need to know 4 stitches: knit, purl, kfb and k2tog.
NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm straight single pointed knitting needles (US 4)
RECOMMENDED YARN
Paintbox Yarns Simply DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g/276m skein in each colour.
NOTIONS
A darning or tapestry needle for seaming
A small amount of black yarn to embroider the eyes
Toy filling
SIZES
One size only - 22cm tall (seated).
TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
