I designed this beanie at the request of a lovely lady who is member of one of my Yahoo groups. She finds terrific patterns for the group and we all look forward to her “just a few” posts. This is a quick knit you can make in a few hours.

Materials needed:

Size 10 6mm knitting needles, 24” circular and Double Pointed Needle (DPN)*
Cable needle (optional, can use Double Pointed Needle)
Yarn needle or crochet hook for finishing
Berroco Ultra Alpaca, held double, 140 grams, 1 ½ skeins, or yarn suitable for size 10 needles

I find that a 24” circular is the perfect size for most of the hat and make for speedy knitting, but DPN, a 20” or 16” can be used if preferred.

Skills:
Long tail cast on
Ribbing
Cables
Decreasing
Knitting through front loops
