Australian Wombat
The Koala’s closest living relative, wombats are endemic to (only found in) Australia and are among the largest burrowing mammals in the world.
Knit yourself a wombat.
I try to make the knit animals look as realistic as possible, while still being easy to knit. These animals are safe for children of all ages.
Size: About 13 cm (5”) tall and 23 cm(9”) long
Materials: 100g DK Weight Yarn in a medium brown ( 175m to 50g)
remnants of dark brown, beige/grey and black DK weight
yarn toy filler, stuffing
Knitting needles, A set of 5 DPN’s in size 2.5mm or US1.5

Tension/ Gauge: this is not important for this project
All you need to remember is to use needles about 2 sizes smaller than suggested for the yarn you are using.
This ensures a tight fabric.
