This pattern includes a chart that may be used for either crocheting or knitting, but instructions are given for tapestry crochet. Size F hook and DK weight yarn were used, however increasing needle/yarn size will yield a larger finished product.

Two colors of yarn are required: a background color and a main color. Maroon and gold are used, but whichever two colors desired will still produce a wonderful finished product. As a general rule, the higher the contrast in color, the better the image will show in the finished object. I chose to utilize this chart to make a place mat to go in my foyer, but this component can also be used for pillows, hats, blankets… whatever you like!
