The name of this hat is inspired by the colors of the yarn. I was knitting on it while riding in the car through the autumn landscape, with its golden colors. And it is a perfect hat for that season, it will keep you warm, but not too warm. Fingering weight warm.
It is a pretty straightforward hat, you start at the brim with the main color, you have a stranded section, repeating the first chart several times, and you end with the chart for the crown. The hat is knitted in the round.
I used two colors of fingering weight yarn, and I used two colors that are close in value. But the pattern would look great in two contrasting colors, with a great difference in value, too.
