The Autumn in Full Glory Cowl is a fingering weight cowl that traces the color changes in the maple tree in my backyard as Autumn progresses. It is knit with a striped section to fold inside to cover floats so you never snag them. Miss Babs ‘Caroline’ yarn adds a touch of cashmere to the merino wool which makes this a blissful yarn to work with.

It is sized to be a single wrap but you can easily increase its length by adding additional column repeats, per the instructions. Gauge isn’t critical, as it drapes nicely at any length.

Materials needed: This cowl was made with Miss Babs Caroline, fingering weight, 70% super wash merino wool, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon. I used 4 skeins (400 yds/ 365 m each with plenty left over) in these colors: White Peppercorn, Oz (green), Burn Baby Burn (orange), and Squash Blossom (yellow). Solid, highly contrasting colors work best.
Needles are 3.25mm/ US. 4, 32”/80 cm circular needles. Stitch markers (regular and one removable) and a tapestry needle are required.
