This pattern is my own design for a knitted top and skirt. It is designed to fit an American Girl doll.

This outfit was inspired by a top that I saw someone wearing. I loved the design so much that I tried to re-create it. It’s not quite the same but I think it still turned out quite nicely.

Materials:
• Super Fine or Fingering weight yarn (such as Loops & Threads Woolike Yarn) in two colours
• 2.75 mm needles
• 5 buttons (4 for top, 1 for skirt)
• one yarn needle
• one stitch holder

Gauge:
approximately 32 stitches = 10 cm / 4 inches using 2.75 mm needles

Techniques/Stitches:
• long-tail cast-on
• wyib - with yarn in back
• wyif - with yarn in front
