Autumn love mittens
Who doesn´t love to kick around heaps of autumn leaves?
This is a perfect project to use up some scraps, or knit the mittens in just two colours.
The hearts are embroidered on the knitted mitten using a duplicate stitch (CC 4).
The mittens are knit in the round using double point needles. You can alter the size of the
mitten by using bigger or smaller needles.
If the mitten feels too small you can add a couple of stitches in the sides, or ad a few extra
rounds at the top of the mittens.
Finished meassures of the mitten is: 17 cm width, 16 cm to the thumb
and 13 cm from the thumb to the top. The thumb is 7 cm.
You will need:
2,0 mm double point needles
2 stitch markers
Tapetsry needle to weave in the ends
Grey yarn 50 g (Main colour=MC)
Scrap yarn 50 g (Contrast colour =CC) I used four different contrasting colours .
I used two ply wool yarn measuring 300 m/100 grams (sport)
The whole mitten weighs about 75 grams.
Gauge: 34 stitches and 32 rows =10 x 10 cm
The instructions are written in English.
Hope you will enjoy the pattern, and your new mittens!
