The autumn colours of the maples are spectacular. The native species turn a lovely orange or red colour in autumn. The Japanese maples are the latest to turn, and the variety in colours is even wider. They are the last trees to turn colour, often well into November, depending on the weather. These patterns are based on the same stitches as I used in my Spring Maple Shawl.
The scarf is worked in two pieces from the point up. The two halves are then grafted together.
Beads are optional.
One skein of BFL silk yarn was used. Additional yarn would be required for a longer scarf.
Both charts as well as written instructions are included.
