This pattern was designed and tested in Autumn, reflecting the colours of the changing trees, and the textures of the falling leaves and seeds. I wanted an asymmetrical shawl, which drapes beautifully with nz indie dyed yarn. I used Revive Designs, 4ply Merino Sock Yarn. The pattern increases, and then decreases to get the triangular shaping. It works both eyelet panels, and a ridge panel, mixed with garter stitch.

Skill Level: Some experience required.

Recommended Yarn: 4ply/fingering merino, or sock yarn in your favourite indie dyed yarn. 3x100g skeins of your favourite colours. I have used Revive Designs, hand dyed nz yarn.

3 x 100g skeins = 400m each skein.
This has also been tested with 360m per 100g skeins and has worked out.

Needle Size: 4mm.
This Shawl is knit flat.
I used 4mm interchangeable needles with a 40cm cable. This can be knitted on straight needles if that is your preference.

Gauge: 13 stitches to 15 rows on 4mm needles.
Yardage: 300g = 3skeins of recommended yarn.
