This is a beginner friendly patern with lots of step-by-step photos along with the written patterns. It is ajustable to use with most yarns, and to achieve the size you want.

In pattern example I used DK weight sockyarn and hook size 3.5 mm, and finished size came out to 20 cm circumference and 6 cm height.

Gauge is not important.
