These socks were inspired by the rainy days of autumn, when everything seems to slow down as the droplets slide down the window panes. I hope these socks keep you cozy and warm, ready to happily face the colder weather that fall brings.

Yarn: 100g fingering weight yarn (350-425 yards / 320-390 metres)
Sample in Ontario Sock (75% Dorset 25% Mohair) by Alley Cat Yarns
Colourways: Demure (Main) and Coveralls (Contrast)

Needles:
2.25 mm needles with a long cable for magic loop (2.5 mm if you are a tight knitter)

Other notions: stitch markers, scissors, darning needle

Gauge: 8 sts = 1 inch / 2.5cm in stockinette with the smaller needles (2.25 mm)

Sizes: (choose a size that is slightly smaller than your foot circumference for a snug fit)
Small, 56 sts, finished circumference 7 inches
Medium, 64 sts, finished circumference 8 inches
Large, 72 sts, finished circumference 9 inches

Note:

The instructions are written for 2 colours. You may of course decide to knit these socks in only one colour by simply ignoring the instructions for colour changes.
