Warm days, crisp, cool nights. The leaves change from green to shades of red, orange, gold. The sky is so blue it’s likely to take your breath away; Autumn. Depending on the time of year, it’s either my favorite or my second favorite season. As I sit here, the brilliant blue sky is the backdrop for the changing hues of the leaves, and the warmth of the day fades as the scent of the season drifts through my open window. Right now autumn is definitely my favorite time of year, though that will change at winter’s close.

Knitting begins in one corner with a small cast on. The border is knit at the same time as the body of the shawl until the end, when it turns into an applied edging so that all four sides have the same lacy frills, and the stitches are all bound off before you know it… as autumn fades into winter, and the trees sleep until spring.

Días cálidos, frescos, noches frías. Las hojas cambian de verde a tonos de rojo, naranjo y oro. El cielo es tan azul, que parece que te quitará el aliento; Otoño. Dependiendo de la época del año, es mi estación favorita o la segunda favorita. A medida que llega, el brillante cielo azul es el telón para los cambios de tono de las hojas y el calor de los días decrece a medida que el perfume de la estación entra por mi ventana. En estos momentos, Otoño es mi estación favorita del año, lo que probablemente cambiará a medida que el invierno se acerque.

El tejido comienza en una orilla con un pequeño montado de puntos. El borde se teje al mismo tiempo que el cuerpo del chal hasta el final, donde se convierte en un borde aplicado, para que los cuatro bordes del chal tenga el mismo volante calado y los puntos se cerrarán antes que te des cuenta… asi como el otoño se convierte en invierno y los árboles duermen hasta primavera.
