Autumn Storm Men's Hoodie
-
Most parts are worked in the round (sleeves, body), though some portions are worked flat before being attached to form the round (first part of yoke, hood), and some are worked flat separately and then joined (hood trim, cord).
-
Cord is created using a lucet fork and holding the yarn doubled. If you don’t have a lucet fork, there are alternatives to creating a cord (these alternatives are not currently provided in the pattern, but there are videos online showing ways to crochet various styles of cords). I still recommend holding the yarn doubled when making the cord using any of the alternate methods.
-
The yoke alternates striping between the contrasting color and main color; there is also a little bit of striping at the ends of the sleeves using the contrasting color.
-
The button band and hood trim are worked entirely in the contrasting color.
-
There is short row shaping in the yoke, though this can be omitted if you find it too difficult (you will adjust by adding extra rows in the main body of the hood).
-
The pattern gives instructions for a straight body style, though you could make it tapered by doing decreases on the sides at regular intervals.

-
The pattern gives specific yardage/meter amounts for each size.
