This vibrant cardigan looks like art deco stained glass, but don’t be fooled. There is just one simple skein change per row, using intarsia technique. The Mandala yarn, with its super long sections of color in an overall ombre pattern, does most of the
work here.

Each piece is worked across the grain in stockinette stitch. The cast on/bind off edges sewn together in side seams. Each row has one more stitch with one skein and one less stitch with the other skein. These easy to apply design features shape the yarn into the color arrangement shown.

The jacket is fairly light weight and goes well with the fall foliage – perfect for an autumn afternoon outdoors.

Experience level/techniques: Recommended for intermediate experience level, based on the following techniques used: intarsia (w/out bobbins), kitchener stitch, non-traditional construction, keeping track of row and stitch count.
