Autumn's Glory
This shawl can be made in two version(scroll down to see photos of other version). The first version is a half hexagon shape made in Schaefer Trenna (available only at Little Knits). The second version is a triangular shape made in Malabrigo lace weight (also available from Little Knits). This pattern is like getting 2 patterns for the price of one. It uses mostly charts, so if you are not a knitter who uses charts, be aware of this fact. The Triangular version is made using Malabrigo lace weight yarn, 2 hanks. It has a different gauge (in Stockinette Stitch, 24 sts and 32 rows = 4”) and needle size (size 6), too. It is what I consider an easy lace pattern to follow. The wrong side row is a simple–K2, purl across to last 2 sts, K2. I try to always have a breather row in my lace patterns, to me it makes lace knitting more enjoyable.
ERRATA--There are 2 places where I left out YO’s. One is on Row 57 after Chart B. The last YO before the last K2 was left out. It should say …….knit across to last 2 sts, YO, K2: 79 sts per section, 243 sts total.
The same situation on Row 15 after Chart C. It should read……knit across to last 2 sts, YO, K2: 103 sts per section, 315 sts total.
